Insight Fort Collins
Tranquility. Wisdom. Compassion
Insight Fort Collins offers guidance in vipassana (insight) and metta (lovingkindness) meditation. We are dedicated to sharing this practice with all who might be interested, regardless of race, class, age, ethnicity, cultural and religious background, sexual orientation, or gender identity.

While the context of insight meditation stems from Buddhist teachings - the practices are universal. Everyone is welcome, whether new to meditation, experienced, or practicing in a different tradition.

Insight meditation is the simple and direct practice of moment to moment mindfulness. As insight deepens, we develop greater self-control and composure in the face of change, leading to a natural understanding of ourselves and the world around us.

Sharon Kreider is Insight Fort Collins' guiding teacher. She began meditation practice                               in 1977 while living in India. A few years later, she worked at Insight Meditation Society                           completing retreats with many world-renowned teachers. She includes Dipama,                                           Tsoknyi Rinpoche, and Joseph Goldstein as her root teachers. She completed the Community Dharma Leader Program at Spirit Rock and has been teaching since 1991. Sharon has also worked as a licensed school and professional counselor for over 30 years, taught psychology and stress management classes, and is a registered yoga teacher.
